TRADITIONAL FAMILY PRACTICE

    Traditional family practices have 2000-4000 patients per provider.

  • TIME

    You have a 15 minute appointment, and maybe 5-7 minutes with the provider.

  • SCHEDULING

    There is an opening in two weeks, but maybe you are lucky and they can “squeeze you in” sooner.

  • WAITING

    Check in 15 minutes before your appointment to do paperwork, wait in the lobby, wait in the exam room.

  • ACCESS

    You can’t speak with the doctor on the phone, but the nurse will call you back as soon as possible.

  • CONVENIENCE

    Open Monday-Friday during the work day. Limited appointment availability means time off work.

  • VALUE

    High copays. $100+ charge per visit that goes to your deductible, which means it comes out of your pocket in a few months. Never knowing the cost until you get a bill.

  • HOUSE CALLS
